Child Sponsorship

How it Works

Sponsorship is the driving force behind our programs, empowering us to bring our three pillars of faith, education, and provision to life. Your choice to sponsor a child opens the door and acts as a catalyst for these pillars to transform lives effectively.

How does child sponsorship help?
When you sponsor a child through Ripples from the Well it provides our three pillars of faith, education, and provision, ensuring they have a holistic and stable foundation to grow. Additionally, it empowers children to become self-sufficient, enabling them to be future change agents in their own community.
How does Ripples from the Well share the Gospel with my sponsored child?
Ripples from the Well integrates and shares the Gospel through our three core pillars of faith, education, and provision to share Christ with sponsored children.

Our faith pillar is directly focused on imparting Biblical knowledge. We have a dedicated faith team that engages with children through Bible studies, nurturing at the home, and various child-centric programs and activities. These interactions are designed to directly introduce them to Jesus in a respectful and age-appropriate manner.

In our education pillar, we partner with Christian schools that incorporate Biblical teachings into their curriculum. This approach ensures that children receive a comprehensive education that is not only academically sound but also spiritually enriching. By learning in an environment that values Christian principles, children can explore their faith as part of their educational journey.

Lastly, our provision pillar embodies the love of Christ. We believe that showing responsible support and unconditional love to children is a powerful testimony of Christ’s teachings. This aspect of our work is crucial, as it demonstrates to children the practical application of Biblical values, such as compassion, kindness, and generosity, in everyday life, while preparing them to go become self-sufficient disciples themselves.

In summary, Ripples from the Well shares the Gospel with sponsored children by weaving Christian teachings into every aspect of our support. Our aim is to provide a holistic approach that works in the local context of the Islamic area we work in while offering children the opportunity to learn about and grow in their faith.
Can I write my sponsored child a letter?
Yes! We would love if you sent your sponsored child a letter, you can do so by emailing sponsor@ripplesfromthewell.org with the subject being "Letter to: (child's name)". Your letter can be in a Google Doc, Word, or PDF format! Ripples from the Well screens all communications and will work hard to get your child their letter in a timely manner.
How does Ripples choose the children in their program?
Ripples from the Well has multiple full-time social workers on staff in Uganda, these socials workers native to the area we serve work to identify which children and families are truly the most vulnerable. Each child and their family is carefully considered based off their current circumstances and genuine ability to earn income, as well as a few other variables.

While we aren't able to directly support every child, many children in the community benefit from our programs and other initiatives that Ripples from the Well hosts or partners with in the area.
How much does it cost to sponsor a child?
Ripples from the Well uses a unique form of sponsorship that enables us to serve at a higher capacity and quality through each child having two sponsorship shares. Each individual share is $35 a month (Education or Provision) which is lower than most sponsorship programs costs keeping it financially attainable to many looking to sponsor. You also have the opportunity to sponsor both shares at $70 a month (both Education and Provision) which enables us to deliver high quality care, education, and programs.

Whether you are looking at sponsoring a share, or multiple children, every commitment makes a lasting impact for Christ in the lives of these children.
