The Details

The 2025 Ripples from the Well 5K will be on May 3, at Wheatland Park in Buhler, Kansas with start time at 9:00 AM.

This race will be chip-timed by Red Dirt Race Management, whether you're a seasoned runner looking to put your best time on the board or prefer to walk and support the cause, everyone is welcome!

Early Bird pricing ends on March 22, and the T-Shirt size guarantee cutoff is April 12!

Your Impact

This year, we’re running to support our Advanced Education Fund, which provides career-building, extracurricular, and advanced learning opportunities for approximately 50 secondary (high school) students. This fund also supports access to advanced learning resources, a fully stocked library, a computer lab with internet access for research, and funding for advanced classes for all students.

By participating in this 5K, you’re investing in a child’s education, future, and faith. 100% of your registration goes directly toward this need, actively changing the lives of the students you see here.

The 2025 Ripples from the Well 5K will be held on May 3 at Wheatland Park in Buhler, Kansas, with a 9:00 AM start time. Race packet pickup will be available on-site the morning of the race, so please arrive early to check in and get ready!

Is this a timed race? Will there be official results?
Yes! The race is officially chip-timed by Red Dirt Racing. Your official results will be available in-person shortly after you finish and will be sent via text and/or email. Results will also be posted here on Athlinks, and on this page within 24 hours of race day.
What is the cost of registration? Do you offer group discounts?
Registration pricing is based on how early you sign up:
$35 Early Bird Pricing – Ends March 22
$40 Regular Pricing – Ends April 12 (Last day to guarantee your preferred T-shirt size)

Can I bring a stroller, leashed pet, or service animal?
Yes! Service animals and accessibility devices are welcome in all race heats. If you’re bringing a stroller or a non-service, leashed dog, we kindly ask that you start in the final heat to allow space for runners aiming for their best times.
Is the 5K walker-friendly?
Absolutely! Walkers are welcome and encouraged to join us in making an impact. Since this is a chip-timed race, we will have a designated walker heat following the running heats. No matter your pace, we’re excited to have you on the course!

What is Ripples from the Well? Why are you hosting this race?
Ripples from the Well is a 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry and NGO operating in Jinja, Uganda. Our mission is to equip the Church to care for vulnerable children and cultivate self-sufficient communities that make disciples of Jesus Christ.

This race directly supports our High School Sponsorship Program, helping students gain the resources, education, and opportunities they need to thrive as the next generation of leaders and disciples in Uganda.
What happens if it rains on race day?
Kansas weather can be unpredictable in the spring! If rain is expected, grab a poncho, fire up a Goggins podcast, and embrace the challenge.

If severe weather is in the forecast, we will closely monitor conditions and provide updates via email to ensure participant safety.
Who can participate in the race? Is it open to all ages?
Everyone is welcome! Whether you’re chasing a personal best or joining the community for a great cause, we’d love to see you there! Participants under 13 must be registered by a parent or guardian, who will also need to be listed as their emergency contact.
Is there parking available at the event? Will there be restrooms on-site?
Yes! Parking will be available on the north side of the event area on Parkside Drive. Restrooms will be located near the race entrance.
How can I find my race results? Will there be race photos after the event?
Your official results will be available shortly after you finish and sent via text and/or email. Results will also be posted here on Athlinks.

We will be sharing a Google Drive link with race photos within one week of the event, and they will also be posted in our Facebook Event page.
